I was at Wal-Mart tonight after work buying important supplies for my workday tomorrow (OK, it was a gift for our Secret Santa exchange) and picked up a pack of Opening Day 2007. To be honest, I just wanted a stick of gum and at least this one comes with cards.
The oh-so-exciting pull:
110 Jason Schmidt
139 Jeff Weaver
57 Jeremy Bonderman
144 David Eckstein
5 David Wright
39 Jack Wilson
Yay. At least I’m still chewing the gum.
So did you get the base card gum or the parallel gum stick? I opened a Hobby box of Opening Day and gave the gum to some kids. I’ll have to remember the next time I am at Target or Walmart and I am supposed to grab some gum for my daughter I’ll get some Opening Day so I can have an excuse to get some more cards.

Yikes. Tough luck this time.

Don’t give Topps any ideas about parallel gum, although it would be nice to have a variety of flavors of bubble gum.
I’m not sure if any of today’s kids find that gum edible, though. I can’t say that I did back in the day but my mother usually sniped the gum out of the packs before I got around to chewing it.
Yeah, it was a crappy pull. I have favorite players who aren’t superstars, and I also collect Brewers cards, but this had none of that action.
